Fintech platform for currency and cryptocurrency exchange in Panama. This is not a website: it is a complete financial product with real operations running every day.
The challenge
The business started on Wix as a proof of concept. It worked, but it could not scale: every exchange request was handled manually through WhatsApp, with no traceability, no committed turnaround time, and no way to verify identity. Customers did not know how much they would receive until someone replied, and there was no way to know the status of a transaction.
What I built
- Custom-built plugin — not a purchased template. The quote engine, request management, and admin dashboard were built from scratch.
- Certainty before paying — customers see exactly how much they will receive, the fee, and the delivery time before transferring a single dollar.
- Public SLA clock — a real turnaround-time commitment, active Monday through Saturday from 8:00 to 20:00 Panama time and backed by automated jobs that run every five minutes.
- Concierge-style assignment — every request has an owner, automatic notifications at each stage, a proactive alert if there is a delay, and a feedback request when the transaction is completed.
- Nine connected payment methods — Banco General, ACH Panamá, ACH Xpress, Yappy, Binance Pay, Zinli, PayPal, Skrill, and Airtm, in both directions.
- Identity verification (KYC) with protected private files, two-factor authentication for administrators, and precise monetary calculations.
- AI discoverability — the site publishes a curated index so artificial intelligence assistants can find and understand it correctly.
The result
An operation that once lived in scattered WhatsApp conversations now runs as a serious financial service: customers know what they will receive, when they will receive it, and who is handling the transaction. The team stopped answering the same questions a hundred times and moved on to managing exceptions.
The platform is in production and continuously evolving, with verified backups for every deployment. It is the system I use as a reference when someone asks whether I can build a real solution for them.
